DEATH AND DYING
How would you like to die? How don’t you want to die?
I’d like to die instantly — so fast I don’t even know it’s happening. I don’t want to die in slow-motion, like those poor folks who jumped out of the World Trade Center towers.
Do you want to go before or after your spouse?
Greg is 12 years older than me and has some significant health problems. Chances are he’ll go before me, so I have never even contemplated a scenario in which I go first.
Have you planned your wake or funeral?
No.
How do you want your body laid to rest?
I want to be cremated immediately and my ashes cast into the wind.
What do you think happens to you after you die?
My memory will be dragged through the mud as my family members fight over my estate.
Bonus Question
If you died today but could be frozen and brought back in 100 years, would you?
Presuming I’d be cured of whatever killed me, I’d get on my knees and thank my doctor in a way we’d both enjoy

I’m wondering if ,when you say that you haven’t planned a funeral, it’s because that you, like me, don’t want one – (for me just a plain burial in a rapidly bio-degradeable cardboard box under a tree) – or, in your case, just a simple, no-fuss cremation.
Incidentally, I’m sure that a lot of people already know the Woody Allen quote, but for any that don’t – “I’m not afraid of death. I just don’t want to be there when it happens.”‘

Do you want to go before or after your spouse? – after; somebody gotta look after the cats!
Have you planned your wake or funeral? – nah; too busy living! I do have a will though.
How do you want your body laid to rest? – cremate me and scatter me at the beach!
What do you think happens to you after you die? – who knows and who cares; YOU’RE DEAD!
If you died today but could be frozen and brought back in 100 years, would you? – hell no; it’s bad enough to live on earth once!
