I saw a TV news story the other day about Beyonce’s brand new bouncing baby Blue. It said that she keeps her little precious in a completely transparent crib made out of acrylic. The weird thing is that the crib’s sides have rails and slats, just like a typical wooden crib.
Isn’t that odd? The purpose of a crib with rails and slats is to give parents the ability to see into the crib without having to walk up to it and disturb the baby. Since an acrylic crib is transparent, there is no need for rails and slats. So why not just make the crib with solid acrylic sides?
Wouldn’t this make the crib safer by eliminating the risk of the baby putting his head or a limb through the slats and getting stuck? I’m always hearing stories about babies being injured in their cribs from doing this.

I think they bought it because it probably cost an arm and a leg so they thought it was worth it.
I don’t think they were thinking of Baby Blue Ivy Whatever.
WTF? people are weird…and I am already sick to death from hearing about this brat!
not trying to be rude, but remove your cable from your tv and you will never hear about it again. =o) I did 10 years ago. I dont hear about crap like this. I read about it on the blogs.
oh honey, I haven’t watched tv since 1999. but it’s allllllll over the internet and newspapers and radio. who gives a fat rat’s ass about this brat?
As fare as a plastic crib. What were they thinking? OMG how stupid. Goes to show you that people will buy anything. As long as its better than your neighbor. LOL
Hopefully that child will inherit Beyonce’s looks and not JZ’z.
Hey come on, people. This was a post about a cool acrylic crib I saw on the news. I like the crib, but I’d like it redesigned.
Poor Cubby! Everyone stop picking on him or face my wrath.
Cubby,
I imagine that they might have used the slat design for air circulation. Solid plastic side might contribute to a fetid atmosphere inside the crib.
Cubby, I like the idea of an acrylic baby bed. Maybe they kept the slats for ventilation purposes?
